About Whitewell Fishing Association

The Whitewell Fishing Association is a private angling club for game fishermen in the Hodder Valley, in the Trough of Bowland. It describes itself as one of Lancashire’s best fly fishing waters, with salmon, sea trout, brown trout and grayling for its members on the River Hodder, most of it on the Duchy of Lancaster’s Whitewell Estate. Members also share fishing on the Isel water of the River Derwent in Cumbria, which is not listed here. The association has a strict sporting ethic, favours fly fishing, and encourages catch and release.
