About Haslingden and District Fly Fishing Club
Haslingden and District Fly Fishing Club was founded in 1966 and fishes Ogden Reservoir in the Grane Valley, between Haslingden and Blackburn. The reservoir was a natural brown trout fishery until 1982, when the club moved to stocking rainbow trout. Adult membership is capped at 200, and the club is run by its members.
Full membership is £170 a year plus a one off £85 joining fee. Junior membership is £35, and a family membership adds £20 to a full or senior membership. To ask to join, use the contact form on the club’s website: you are then sent a form to complete, and the membership secretary contacts you. Members use the club’s rowing boats free of charge, get two guest tickets each, and can also fish Holden Wood Reservoir, which is a coarse water. The club holds an open day before each season that non members can attend, with fly tying, casting instruction and a bring and buy stall.
The club’s website does not offer day tickets.
