About Wyresdale Anglers
Wyresdale Anglers is a members’ fly fishing club at Scorton, in Lancashire’s Trough of Bowland. It describes itself as Britain’s only residential members fly fishing club in the North West of England: at the heart of ten miles of trout and salmon fishing on the River Wyre and three stocked lakes is the club’s Georgian country house, Springfield, where members can stay and be served dinner by the housekeeper.
The river is divided into ten beats, each reserved for a single rod and a guest if required. The club has Scorton Lake, a 42 acre loch style water with rowing boats, and the High Street and Low Street Lakes, stocked with rainbow trout. It works closely with the Wyre Rivers Trust.
Fishing is for members. The club’s website does not publish membership terms or fees, so to ask about joining, email the club at info@wyresdale-anglers.co.uk.
