About Crowborough & District Anglers Association
Crowborough and District Anglers Association began in 1948, when a group of young men back from the war set up a club for sea fishing day trips and then moved into freshwater. Today it is mainly a coarse club, with seventeen stillwaters at eleven locations, a stretch of the River Eden, silvers fishing at a 100 acre reservoir, seven miles of the River Rother and twelve miles of the Royal Military Canal. It also has some stream based trout fishing, and this listing covers that: about a mile of the Eridge Stream, a tributary of the Medway, which the club has held since 1976.
It is an open club with no membership limit. A full adult membership is £55, juniors aged 13 to 18 pay £25, under 13s are free, and there are £40 rates for seniors, students and disabled members and family rates of £80 for couples (£60 for senior couples). New members other than juniors pay a £5 joining fee. Memberships last until 31 March the following year. You can join online, by post with the application form, or over the counter at Crowborough Tackle, Crowborough Shoe Repairs or Mud Pig Baits in Uckfield, and mid season memberships are sold from 1 October.
Members can bring guests. Guest memberships for the Eridge Stream cost £10 for adults and seniors and £5 for ages 12 to 18, with at most two guests per member per day.
