About the River Bashall Brook
Bashall Brook is a small stream, about seven miles long, that rises at Browsholme Tarn on Browsholme Moor in the Forest of Bowland. It runs south and east past Bashall Eaves and then on past Waddington, and joins the River Ribble at Low Moor on the edge of Clitheroe.
It is a wild brown trout stream, and the Ribble Rivers Trust says it also holds chub and the odd dace.
The Ribble Rivers Trust Angling Passport has a short beat on the brook at Bashall Eaves, about six tenths of a mile of both banks. Passport beats are catch and release. Other stretches are held by their riverside owners.
Check the details for the stretch you plan to fish.
