About Bank House Fly Fishery

Bank House Fly Fishery is a 2.5 acre trout lake at Low Mill, Caton, near Lancaster. It opened in 1974 and is run by Ben and Charlotte Dobson, whose parents David and Jan Dobson started it. Twelve small islands are scattered over the water, which gives a network of slow swims and pools, and the water flows round the lake and leaves by one of three outlets. The fishery says it holds rainbow, blue, brown and tiger trout, and that even with 16 anglers on it the islands and planting give a feeling of privacy.
