About Hindwell Knill

Hindwell Knill is a beat of more than two miles on the Hindwell Brook, a wild trout stream that meanders east from its source in the Radnor Forest to join the River Lugg just below Presteigne. Being spring fed, the brook keeps a good flow through the summer. The Knill beat runs for the most part over a gravel bed, which makes wading and getting about relatively easy. The Passport suggests a rod of six and a half to seven and a half feet rated 2 to 4 weight.
