What The Fishing Passport offers
Access & membership
The Fishing Passport is an online booking system run on a not for profit basis by the Wye and Usk Foundation. Fisheries all over the UK use it to take day tickets, season tickets, club member and even private bookings, and it covers salmon, sea trout, trout, grayling and coarse fishing across Wales and the Marches. The Passport doesn’t own or lease any water: each fishery stays in the hands of its owner.
Its Wild Streams are small wild brown trout waters, from mountain streams a few feet wide to medium sized rivers, where the Passport says an 8 foot 3 or 4 weight is the biggest rod you will need. They are booked ahead, online or by phone, with no booking fee online, and bookings for a day close at 6pm the day before. Any Wild Stream beat that hasn’t been booked is open to holders of a Wild Stream Season Permit, which for 2026 costs £100 for one rod or £140 for two.
The booking office is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. This page lists the Passport’s three Forest of Dean streams in Gloucestershire: Cannop Brook, Bideford Brook and Blackpool Brook.

FishingBeats is an independent guide with no affiliation to the fisheries we list. Listings are editorial and unpaid, and are not supplied or approved by the fishery. See our listings policy. Listing details are compiled by FishingBeats and may change or contain mistakes. Some services, such as tuition, ghillies, or accommodation, may only apply to certain packages and not to standard day tickets. Always confirm pricing, fishing details, and what is included directly with the beat before you book. Spotted something wrong? Email hello@fishingbeats.com and we will correct it.
