About Old Harp Fishery
The Old Harp Fishery is about 0.75 miles of the River Wye at Hoarwithy, Herefordshire, with double and single bank fishing above and below Hoarwithy Bridge. The fishery says the water has been in the same family ownership for many years and has historically been very lightly fished.
It is available by arrangement for coarse, pike and salmon fishing. Salmon rods are booked through the fishery, and so are the fly only pike days, which run from 1 October to 1 February and are limited to two anglers. The fishery says the salmon water has good wading for the fly and deeper sections and pools, and that it suits keen and experienced salmon anglers. It has been fished only sporadically for salmon in recent times.
