About Eridge Stream, Ham Bridge to Corseley Road, Dorset Arms Angling Club
This is Dorset Arms Angling Club’s water on the Eridge Stream, a tributary of the Medway, in two stretches: Ham Bridge to Hendal Bridge, and Hendal Bridge to Corseley Road. The position shown is approximate.
The club says the stream offers similar conditions and sport to the upper Medway, with gravelly shallow runs and deep pools. Trotting is a popular way to fish for chub, roach, perch, grayling and brown trout, and spinning tactics are proven for larger trout and perch, with the odd pike. The club holds a bait dispensation here, so trout can be fished for in the coarse close season with natural baits and no soft lures.
It is members’ water. Membership of the club is bought online through Clubmate, and each member gets one free guest day ticket a season.
