About North Brook Fly Lake
North Brook is a private fly lake at the fish farm at West Ashling, about three miles outside Chichester. The farm stocks it with its own brown, blue and rainbow trout, from 2lb up to double figures, and says a fish over 10lb is not uncommon. The farm says its fish are certified disease free and are not vaccinated or treated with antibiotics.
The lake has space for three rods, and friendly groups of up to eight are catered for. The price is £25 a rod plus £2 for every pound of fish caught, with no bag limit, and the farm gives its rod price as from 1 January 2024. You fish dry fly, wet fly or nymph only, with no lures. There is a small weighing room where your catch is weighed and recorded.
Booking ahead is essential and is best done by telephone. The farm is open all year except Christmas Day.
