About Brick Farm Lakes Trout Fishery
Brick Farm Lakes is a family run trout fishery at Herstmonceux in East Sussex, set in 50 acres of countryside just off the A271 between Herstmonceux and Windmill Hill. It has four lakes, Well, Stag, Spring and Brick, totalling around 6 acres and stocked with rainbow, brown and sparctic trout. There are over 50 swims, with depths up to 22ft, and an oak framed lodge overlooking Brick Lake serves tea, coffee and breakfast baps.
The fishery is open to everyone all year and you do not need to book. Tickets are for 2, 3 or 4 fish, at £40, £48 and £55, valid all day, and there are no half day tickets or time limits. Additional fish are £14 each once you have reached your bag. Fishing is fly only with no catch and release. Joining the fishery’s club costs £15 and brings newsletters and a loyalty scheme that gives a free 2 fish ticket after your tenth purchase.
Rod hire, with a floating line, a bag with a filled fly box and a net, is £15 a person a day, and qualified coaches can be booked to teach casting and fishing.
