About Arrow Kington
Arrow Kington is a mile and a half of double bank on the upper River Arrow, just upstream of Kington. It is a small upland stream running through farmland, a good place for wild brown trout, and wading is relatively easy over the gravel and silt bed. The Passport suggests a rod of six and a half to seven and a half feet rated 2 to 4 weight.
The lower half of the beat, from Hergest Bridge to the confluence with the Gladestry Brook, is also open to anglers from the Kington Angling Club. The top half is for the exclusive use of Wild Stream Permit holders and Fishing Passport day tickets.
It is fly only, one trout may be taken per rod, and dogs are not allowed. It is a Wild Stream beat: it is booked through the Fishing Passport, or fished on a Wild Stream Season Permit.
