About Court of Noke

The Court of Noke is three quarters of a mile of double bank on the River Arrow. The bed is mostly gravel and silt and the wading is relatively easy in this meandering section, though some of the pools are quite deep and need care. Besides trout, the stretch holds good numbers of grayling and the occasional chub. Trotting a maggot for them is permitted outside the trout season, which the page gives as 1 October to 2 March. The Passport suggests a rod of seven to eight feet rated 3 to 4 weight.
