About The Leen
The Leen is just under a mile of double bank on the River Arrow, upstream of Pembridge, and it is available from 1 October to 31 January for autumn and winter grayling fishing. It suits anyone who likes targeting grayling in a small to medium sized river. The Arrow flows over gravel here and the beat is easy to wade, though chest waders are strongly recommended. The Passport says it holds plenty of good sized grayling and suits upstream fishing with dries or nymphs. In November, December and January it can also be fished with maggots, which makes it a fine trotting beat for anglers who would rather not wade in the cold. Parking is less than 100 metres from the river.
All species are catch and release, trotting is allowed and dogs are not allowed. The winter grayling day ticket is listed at £18.50 to £20, with up to two tickets a day, and a block booking can be made. It is booked through the Fishing Passport.
