About Holme Lacy 3 and Lechmere’s Ley

Holme Lacy 3 and Lechmere’s Ley is just over half a mile of double bank on the middle Wye, a few miles downstream of Hereford. It has good fly and spinning water for salmon with a number of pools, and Lechmere’s Ley is well known as one of the more productive in the middle river. The banks slope gently, there are numerous croys to stand on, and the gravel bed makes wading relatively easy. The page also lists coarse fishing, with shoals of dace and chub and good numbers of barbel.
