About Whitney Court

Whitney Court is about three miles of mostly double bank on the Wye a few miles downstream of Hay-on-Wye, one of the classic middle Wye beats. The fishery is split into six sections. It has good salmon fishing, especially in spring, with plenty of water for fly anglers and for those who spin. Fly fishing only for trout and grayling is also sold. The river runs mostly over gravel here, so wading is much easier than on the bedrock sections above Hay. The page also lists coarse fishing, especially barbel, chub and pike.
