Fishing methods
The Trout Pool is the Canterbury & District Angling Association’s fly only stillwater, reached by the Fordwich Lake footpath and tucked between Fordwich, Stour and Trenley lakes.
A ticket covers a whole day and comes from the association’s headquarters; members can book up to one week ahead. A maximum of four fish may be caught, and two of those may be kept. An accompanied junior member who books in advance can buy a half price ticket for a single fish. Prices and conditions are posted at headquarters.
The pool is open for most of the year but is often closed in very hot weather in July and August, so ring the office on +44 1227 710830 to check before you go. It is members’ water.

Members of Canterbury & District Angling Association. Fly only. One day ticket from association headquarters, booked up to a week ahead. No more than four fish caught, two of them kept. Accompanied juniors who book in advance can buy a half price ticket for one fish. You need a valid Environment Agency rod licence.
