This is the Chilham Mill stretch of the Great Stour, let by Chilham Mill Estate. The estate describes it as 1,250 metres of the river and its tributaries for two rods. Its home page gives 1,500 metres, so the length is not certain. It does not say where the stretch starts and finishes.

Sea trout are present at certain times of year, and the biggest caught so far is 9 lb. Because the Stour here is a chalk stream, the estate allows only upstream dry fly.

The estate lets the fishing by syndicate, and applications go to the estate by phone or email. The estate has said that four places remain, but its fly fishing page is headed 2023 and gives no price, so ask what is available now.
