Frome and District Angling Association’s Wellow Brook water is about three quarters of a mile of single bank fishing downstream of the ford in Wellow village. The downstream end is marked by a pedestrian bridge, and the water runs up to one field downstream of the Wellow ford.

The association calls the Wellow Brook a well-known trout water. Its bank is the left bank looking upstream, and Avon and Tributaries Angling Association rent the right bank. The fish are wild brown trout. Wading is the best way to fish it, and the banks are deliberately left overgrown to make the best home for the trout.

It is members only, fly only with barbless hooks or crushed barbs, and catch and release, from 1 April to 15 October.
