Penshurst Park Trout Fishery has two lakes in the parkland of Penshurst Place, one of about one acre and one of about two, dedicated to fly fishing for trout. The fishery describes the banks as uncongested, with plenty of places to cast from.

The lakes are stocked through the season with rainbow trout of around 3lb, and brown trout are occasionally added to both. Catches have been reported to members in seasonal fishery reports, the latest dated February 2026.

This is members’ water. The fishery does not offer pay and fish, and takes new members from a waiting list. Members must hold a current rod licence, and use barbless hooks when fishing catch and release. Entrance is through Penshurst Place, where there is a private car park for members and toilets by the fishing lodge.

Stocking and fish species

none stocking · Regularly stocked through the season with rainbow trout of around 3lb; brown trout are occasionally added to both lakes, per the fishery.
