About The Gamefishers Club
The Gamefishers Club is a private fly fishing club founded in 1957, with wild brown trout and grayling fishing on rivers and brooks in Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Gloucestershire and Powys. Membership is currently set at 100, and members’ partners and children can join as associate members.
The club’s water includes two beats on the Cradley Brook close to Longley Green and Storridge, two beats on the Leigh Brook near Leigh Sinton, and Mathon Lodge Lake, a small stocked lake west of Malvern.
Every beat is booked online before fishing, through the members’ area of the club website. Members can fish any of the club waters as often as they like in a season without further fees, and can bring a friend on an occasional guest permit. A few vacancies usually come up each season, and the club keeps a waiting list when there are none.
How fishing here works
Membership is capped. New members join a queue, which can run to several years depending on the club.

Waiting list
A few vacancies usually come up each season; when there are none the club keeps a waiting list. Ask for a club official to contact you through the membership page, or email the Honorary Secretary. New members pay the £135 entry fee and the annual membership, which is £145 for 2026, reduced to £75 for anyone joining after 1 July. Associate membership for members’ partners and children is £30, with no entry fee.
