Coombe is 400 metres of right bank on the upper River Inny, an intimate and lively beat that gives top small stream fishing for wild brown trout and grayling, with the occasional daytime sea trout. Much of the water suits close range casting. There are places to cast overhead, but a side, roll, bow, snake roll or double spey cast is often needed to cover it all, and wading is preferable.

The Passport recommends a 6 to 8 foot 6 rod rated 0 to 4 weight. Fly only, with single barbless hooks, and all species are returned. Brown trout season runs from 15 March to 30 September, and grayling season from 1 to 14 March and again from 15 June to 31 October. A day costs 2 Fish Pass tokens, booked through the Westcountry Angling Passport.
