Fishing methods
This is the Launceston Anglers’ Association’s water on the River Inny, north of Launceston in east Cornwall. The association numbers its beats and publishes a map of each. On the Inny they are Treguddick (8), the left bank downstream of the weir below Two Bridges, fished to 30 September only, fly and natural bait but no lures; Trelaske (11), the right bank downstream from Treguddick Bridge to the field north of Trekelland Bridge; Trekelland (10), the right bank for about 1.25 miles from a field above Trekelland Bridge to a field above Ruse’s Mill; and Wooda Bridge (12), a short fly and lure stretch with limited parking. This listing covers them together.
The Inny beats open on 15 March and close on 31 October, apart from Treguddick. The association says beats 10 and 11 are fly only until 16 June, and then allow fly, lure and natural bait. The association lists salmon, sea trout, brown trout and grayling across its waters but does not say which species is on which beat, so none is listed here.
Members fish on their membership, and visitors can buy a day ticket from Launceston Tourist Information.
