This is the Liskeard & District Angling Club’s water on the River Fowey, between Golitha Falls and Boconnoc in south-east Cornwall. The club numbers its beats and names them by bank. On the Fowey they are Golitha Falls (right bank), Hendergrove Wood (left), Coodes (right), Home Farm (left), Dennickball Wood (left), Jack’s and Lewarne Coombe (right), Jack’s and Upper Boconnoc (left), Wheelpit and Lower Boconnoc (left) and Middle Boconnoc, also called Wainsford (left). This listing covers them together, because the club sets one set of rules for the river and publishes the beat maps itself.

The club fishes the Fowey for salmon and sea trout. It gives the salmon season as 1 April to 30 November and the sea trout season as 1 April to 30 September, and says the river currently has conservation limits. One salmon may be taken a season, and every salmon caught before 16 June goes back, dead or alive. The club also asks members to release the first salmon they catch, with a target of 90 per cent of salmon returned. Up to two sea trout may be taken in 24 hours, four in a week and ten in a season. Sea trout under 35cm and over 55cm go back.

Fly, spinning and bait are all allowed, with the limits set out in the rules. Members fish on their membership, and visitors can buy a day or week ticket on the club’s website.
