This is Bodmin Anglers Association’s water on the River Camel, between Polbrock Bridge near Wadebridge and Wenford Bridge on the upper river. The association publishes a map for each section: Polbrock to Grogley, Boscarne to Helland, Shell Woods to Wenford Bridge, Shell Woods to Poley’s Bridge and the Trecarne beat. This listing covers them together, because the association does not give each section its own rules.

The association says the river holds salmon, sea trout and brown trout. On the Polbrock and Grogley map, the left bank is artificial baits only. The right bank is any method before 1 December, and from 1 to 15 December it is artificial baits only until noon and any method from noon until nightfall. The rules also call the stretch between Trecarne Bridge and Kenningstock Weir a sanctuary area and say artificial baits only on the Trecarne beat, so read the rules and maps before fishing the top of the water. The Environment Agency’s Camel byelaw applies throughout.

It is members’ water, and members may fish from 1 May to 15 December.
