South Yeo is about 1,000 metres of single and double bank on the River Lew, reached from Hatherleigh, challenging brown trout water with small runs and deeper pools. It holds healthy numbers of trout in the 6 to 10 inch range.

Getting in can be tricky in places, but waders and some patience are rewarded, and the Passport mentions deer, kingfishers and dippers along the way.

Fly only. Trout under 8 inches must be returned, and no more than 2 trout may be kept per day. A day costs 2 Fish Pass tokens, booked through the Westcountry Angling Passport.
