Draycote Water near Rugby is fished as one water, from both bank and boat, for stocked rainbow and brown trout. The 2026 season runs from 7 March 2026 to 31 January 2027.

The eight-fish and four-fish day permits both carry on as catch and release once the fish limit is reached, and a senior citizen permit at the four-fish price allows six fish. A zero-kill sporting permit is fished on barbless flies. All brown trout must be returned alive. Bank tickets are fly fishing for trout only. Accompanied children fish free within the rules and limits of the adult permit, with age and wind speed limits on boat fishing.

Boats are available by the day, half day or after 6pm, with a wheelyboat for Blue Badge holders, and there is a 10% surcharge on boats that are not booked in advance. Season permits run in four grades, from the zero-kill Sporting permit up to Gold, which allows up to 500 fish across the season. Dogs are not permitted, and an Environment Agency rod licence is required.
