Lobbs Lake is the smaller, gentler lake at Exe Valley Fly Fishing, half an acre of water at Exebridge near Dulverton. It was the first lake here, stocked for anglers in 1968, the idea of the late Ellen Maund.

Fly fishing and spinning are both allowed on Lobbs. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout up to about two pounds, and the lake is aimed at families with small children. Every fish must be kept. There is no catch and release.

Lobbs has its own cheaper day tickets: two fish for thirty pounds or four fish for forty pounds, with a junior ticket for under thirteens. A combined ticket covering both Lobbs and Anchor Lake is also sold, so you can fish for the bigger Anchor trout on the same day for a little more. Season tickets covering both lakes run for six months from the day you buy them.

Fishing is self-service from the hut on site, with a large car park, toilets and picnic benches nearby, and the fishery is open every day of the year. You need a rod fishing licence to fish here, under thirteens do not.
