Fishing methods
Fly methods
The lake at Felix Farm Trout Fishery is an eight acre, spring-fed stillwater at Binfield, near Bracknell in Berkshire, mature and bordered by woodland and fields. Swims range from three to thirty feet deep, with both shallow and deep water along its length.
Fishing is from the open meadowland bank, from one of six wooded fishing platforms, or from one of six rowing boats, moored to buoys while you fish. Rainbow trout are regularly stocked from two to ten pounds. Brown trout are also present but must always be returned, never killed.
Tickets are sold by the fish. A day ticket runs from one fish plus a catch and release fish at £25 up to four fish at £50, with a four fish, fully catch and release ticket at £40, and £15 for each fish beyond a ticket’s limit. Season tickets cover twenty five or fifty fish over twelve months, for bank or boat fishing, plus a catch and release season ticket capped at four fish a visit.
Fishing is fly only, a single fly with no droppers or bite indicators. Every catch must be recorded, including nil returns, and headwear and eye protection are required at all times.
