Littledart Farm, formerly Essebeare, is about 2 kilometres of the Little Dart plus 300 metres of the Sturcombe, close range fishing on a productive, wooded Devon stream. The beat runs up to the junction with the Sturcombe.

A fly rod rated 0 to 4 weight, 5 to 9 feet long, suits it. A single dry, a nymph or a duo all produce plenty of interest, and in moderate water a micro streamer can pull out some of the larger residents. The trout are mostly 6 to 10 inches, with the odd bigger brown. The best fishing usually comes in spring and early summer and again in late August and September.

Fly only, and all fish are returned. A day costs 2 Fish Pass tokens, booked through the Westcountry Angling Passport.
