About Exe Vale Fishery

Exe Vale Fishery is a short stretch of the River Exe near Tiverton, run by John Deprieelle and Dom Garnett of DG Fishing. It offers bookable day ticket fishing for trout, with the option of winter grayling, on several hundred yards of water that includes a deep pool, steady glides and faster, broken sections.

Only one angler, or two friends, fish it each day, so it is a quiet day out. Fishing must be booked and paid for in advance, by phone or email. It is strictly catch and release, with barbless hooks only, and waders are a must to reach most of the water. Juniors of 12 and over fish free with an adult.

DG Fishing also guides and teaches on the river, which suits anyone who would like a hand with a first day on the Exe.
