What Lance Nicholson Fishing & Guns offers

Access & membership

Day tickets

Lance Nicholson is a fishing, shooting and country clothing shop on Dulverton High Street, in business since 1968. On the fishing side it stocks rods, reels, lines, leaders, flies and waterproofs, repairs rods, and builds its own Westcountry fly rods on Harrison blanks, from 6 foot #3/4 up to 15 foot #10.

The shop’s own site says day tickets are available on the Barle and the Little Exe, and it describes itself as the Dulverton Angling Association HQ. The River Exe and Tributaries Association names the shop as the contact for its Fish The Exe tickets: Stoats Tail at Dulverton, the Bend Pool at Exebridge and the River Barle Fishing Club’s Beats 1a and 3a in Somerset, and Stuckeridge, Wonham, Hartnoll, Bolham, Cove Quarry and Bickleigh on the Exe in Devon, with the prices on each beat’s page. Those tickets need membership of the Dulverton Angling Association or the River Exe and Tributaries Association first.

The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9.30 to 5.30, and closed on Sundays. Ring +44 1398 323409 to ask about a ticket.
