Meon Springs’ lakes are two spring-fed stillwaters at Whitewool Farm near East Meon in Hampshire, inside the South Downs National Park. They are stocked with rainbow trout from 2 lb, raised on site in the fishery’s own trout farm, and every ticket also covers the Meon Beat, a separate catch and release section on the same water.

A day ticket covers two fish and runs from 8am to 6.30pm, with extra fish charged at £14 each and any fish left uncaught within your ticket carried forward as a credit for another visit. In summer there is evening fishing too, from 2pm to 9.30pm or dusk. Both must be booked online in advance, day tickets by 7.45am on the day and evening tickets by 1pm, since numbers are limited.

An Environment Agency rod licence is required and can be bought online or at the fishery office on arrival if you do not already have one. Anglers staying in one of the Shepherd’s Huts by the water, or at the Yurt Village, can fish at any time during their stay and pay only for the fish they catch. A tackle shop and café are a short walk away.
