About Chequertree Fishery
Chequertree Fishery is a family run fishery on the edge of Bethersden, near Ashford in Kent, with three lakes. One is a trout lake fished with the fly and the others are coarse lakes. This listing covers the trout lake only. The coarse fishing, clubhouse, cabins and camping are run by the same business and are described on its own website.
The fly tariff is £25 for catch and release, and £35, £45 or £55 for two, three or four fish. The most that can be caught on a ticket is 10 fish, brown trout must all be returned, and every catch goes in the log book. Barbless hooks only, and no dogs.
You must book and pay before you arrive, because no tickets are sold on site and the gates stay locked to anyone without one. The website currently carries a notice that the trout lake is closed until the autumn, so ring or email the fishery to check it is open before you plan a trip.
