About Tenterden Trout Waters

Tenterden Trout Waters is a family run stillwater fly fishery at Coombe Farm in the Weald of Kent, a few minutes from Tenterden. It opened in 1975 and says it was one of the first stillwater fisheries in the South East. Trout and Salmon magazine has placed it in the top 50 of its top 100 stillwater fisheries in the British Isles.

There are three lakes totalling 5.5 acres, stocked with rainbow, blue and brown trout. A fishing lodge opened in 2018, with a kitchen, toilets and free tea and coffee. The fishery is open from 8.30am to sunset, seven days a week, and takes cash only because the signal is too poor for cards. Rod, net and tackle hire is £15. Fly casting lessons for beginners are offered, and a shepherd’s hut by the water sleeps two, with 20% off permits for guests who stay.

To book a permit, ring or email the farm using the details on this page. The fishery’s own site does not list permit prices, so ask when you book.
