The Church Commissioners water is the part of the Dart Angling Association’s river that is open to visitors. The association’s June 2026 guide lists three left bank stretches for day and week ticket holders: Austins Bridge down to Stretchford Run, Staverton Bridge down to Staverton Weir, and below Town Mills at Staverton to Folly Pool.

Day and week tickets run from 15 March to 30 September. A salmon or sea trout ticket costs £30 for the day or £120 for the week, and it also covers brown trout. A brown trout ticket costs £20 for the day or £80 for the week. Salmon and brown trout fishing is from sunrise until an hour after sunset, and there are limited migratory trout tickets for the hours from sunset to 3am. No more than six tickets are sold for any one day.

Tickets are bought online through the association’s Clubmate page, and the ticket email is your proof. There is a padlock on the gate below Staverton Bridge, and the code comes with the emailed ticket. Brown trout and sea trout are fly only, spinning for salmon is only allowed below Austins Bridge, and a catch return is asked for after your day.
