Fishing methods
From Twine Mill weir, Nidderdale Angling Club’s water runs on past two more weirs and New York Mills to the road bridge at Summerbridge, with a footpath along much of the river.
There is parking by the weir at the top, room for six cars at New York Mills, and more behind the tennis courts near the bridge at the bottom; display a parking pass at both.
This is not one of the club’s day-ticket stretches, so it is fished by members and season-ticket holders. Membership is for anglers who live locally, and anglers from further away can apply for a season ticket; the committee decides both. Like all the club’s water, it is catch and release.
