About Nidderdale Angling Club
Nidderdale Angling Club was formed in 1897 by a group of local anglers at the Old Oak Inn in Low Laithe, near Pateley Bridge. Today the club controls around seven miles of the River Nidd, fished for wild brown trout and wild grayling, and Scar House Reservoir at the head of the dale, an upland wild brown trout water.
Membership is open to local anglers, with season tickets available to anyone else at the same price. Day and week tickets are also sold to non-members, bought online or from outlets in Summerbridge and Pateley Bridge. Juniors fish free as members, and the club has put in platforms for disabled anglers on the Millennium Green in Pateley Bridge. It also works with the Wild Trout Trust on habitat improvements along the river.
Nidderdale is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and borders the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Anyone with a question about membership or tickets can reach the club by email or phone.
