About ISCA Angling Club
ISCA Angling Club fishes four beats on the lower River Usk, which it places between Abergavenny and Newport, for salmon and trout. Its pages do not name the beats, so none are listed here.
Fishing is for members only. Membership is limited and is usually full during the season, though places often open at the end of each year. The club prefers new members who are recommended by current members or by other Usk fisheries, but says it considers every application, and it encourages younger anglers and those with little salmon and trout experience to apply. To ask about joining, email the club secretary or use the contact page. Fees are not published.
Most members fish the fly and other methods are allowed with restrictions. The club encourages catch and release, and holds an introductory day at the start of each season. Anglers under 18 can fish free with a member, sharing that member’s rod and catch limit.
