About Rose Park Fishery

Rose Park Fishery is a small stillwater fly fishery near Altarnun, Launceston, in Cornwall. It has two lakes totalling 2.5 acres, dug in 1989 and 1990 and opened to trout anglers on 1 May 1990. The lakes are fed by a small stream that runs alongside them and by ground water, and they are regularly stocked with rainbow and brown trout, with a healthy population of wild brown trout in both.

The fishery also has 600 metres of the River Penpont, a wild brown trout stream in the Tamar catchment, which is listed on FishingBeats as Penpont Water.

Day tickets are sold in the fishing hut on site, and also through the Fish Pass app and FishPal. It is fly fishing only with barbless hooks, every brown trout caught must be released, and you pay before you start fishing.
