About Carmarthen and District Angling Club
Carmarthen and District Angling Club was founded in 1953 and describes itself as an open club. Its members fish miles of the River Towy and its main tributaries, the Cothi and the Gwili, with additional beats on the Gwendraeth and the Taf, which combine with the Towy to form the Three Rivers Estuary flowing into Carmarthen Bay. The club says its waters hold salmon, sea trout (sewin) as the main quarry, and increasing numbers of good sized brown trout.
Its Maps of Water page covers the stretches at Capel Dewi, Carmarthen, Cothi Bridge, the Gwendraeth, two on the Gwili at Bronwydd and the Quarry Stretch, the Taf, Whitemill and the Lower Dryslwyn Castle Beat. The Quarry Stretch is a Gwili beat the club has had since 2012, about six miles outside Carmarthen on the right of the road to Cardigan, which it says fishes best after a spate from mid season. Members get one membership with unlimited use of the maps of water.
Membership is handled through Clubmate, where you can join online. The club does not publish its prices or a day ticket on its own pages. Contact the club by email.
