About Eaton Flyfishers
Eaton Flyfishers, formerly Buglawton Trout Club, is a fly fishing club that has been fishing the River Dane near Congleton in Cheshire for over a century. The club lists six stretches of the river, each with parking, including Hillmoor Farm, Bank Farm, North Rode Farm, Ladderstile Farm and Brook Farm.
The trout season runs from 15 March to 30 September and the grayling season from 16 June to 14 March. The club encourages barbless hooks and catch and release. For 2026 the joining fee is £80 and annual adult membership is £170, and juniors up to the age of 18 are free if they are accompanied by an adult member. The club’s website does not say whether places are open or whether there is a waiting list, so anyone interested in joining should email the club.
