About River Dane, Eaton Flyfishers
Eaton Flyfishers fish the River Dane near Congleton in Cheshire. The club describes the whole river as beautiful and picturesque, with many easy sections and several that are more challenging. It is a spate river, so it rises and falls very quickly, which the club says gives more fishing time than most rivers of this type.
The water is made up of six stretches, each with parking, which the club names as Hillmoor Farm, Bank Farm, North Rode Farm, Ladderstile Farm and Brook Farm. The trout season runs from 15 March to 30 September and the grayling season from 16 June to 14 March. The club encourages barbless hooks and catch and release.
The water is for members of the club. The club does not publish where each stretch lies, so the position shown is approximate and covers the river near Congleton.
