About Farnham Angling Society
Farnham Angling Society, founded in 1906, is a large mainly coarse angling society on the Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire borders, with ponds, lakes and four rivers. This page describes only its trout fly fishing in Surrey, which is a stretch of the River Wey at Somerset Bridge near Elstead. The society’s other waters are listed on its website and are not described here.
Members of the society can fly fish for trout at Somerset Bridge from 1 April to 30 September, and the society does not stock that stretch with trout. The society does not issue day tickets. New members join online through Clubmate, and members can buy guest tickets for most waters. Enquiries about membership or guest tickets go to the membership secretary by email.
