About Grayshott Angling Club
Grayshott Angling Club is a small angling club on the Surrey and Hampshire border, between Haslemere and Farnham, that controls a number of waters. This page describes only its fly fishing for wild brown trout on the North Wey at Wrecclesham, near Farnham, in Surrey. The club’s other waters, including the Waggoners Wells lakes, are mainly coarse fishing and are not described here.
Membership runs from 1 April to 31 March. For 2026 to 2027 an adult membership is £45, with a £10 joining fee for new members, and the River Wey fly fishing, for 1 April to 30 September, is a £10 addition that cannot be bought on its own. New members apply through the club’s Membermojo page, and the club answers membership questions by email. The club operates a strict catch and release policy on all its waters, including when fly fishing for trout.
