About Llanelli Angling Association
Llanelli Angling Association is a fly fishing club founded in 1902 that holds the fishing on the Upper Lliedi Reservoir on the edge of Llanelli, a few casts from the Millennium Coastal Path. Its members call the water Swiss Valley and Top Res. At 32 acres the association says it is the largest water in Carmarthenshire where fly fishing is practised. Rainbow trout are stocked for the membership, and the club is a non profit organisation that spends permit money on stocking and the upkeep of the reservoir.
Membership is open to all, with reduced price permits for under 16s and for 16 to 18 year olds in full time education, and the club has about 70 members as of 2024. Season permits are sold by the Hon. Secretary. Day tickets are sold on the website from 1 April 2026: £25 for an adult with a two fish limit, £32 for an adult and one junior and £42 for an adult and two juniors. Day ticket holders cannot drive in.
