About Llanidloes and District Angling Association
Llanidloes and District Angling Association runs the trout fishery at Llyn Clywedog, a 615 acre reservoir on the headwaters of the River Severn above Llanidloes, and sells permits for river fishing as well. All proceeds go back into the fishery. The association stocks the reservoir weekly from its own trout farm, around 40,000 fish a year, and fishes it from a fleet of boats, including a wheelyboat for disabled anglers.
Reservoir permits are sold at the fishing lodge at the boat moorings: £29 for a full day, £20 for an evening from 3pm with a three fish limit, £420 for a full season (£400 for over 65s) and £70 for a youth development season for ages 12 to 17. River permits are £10 for a day and £30 for a season and are sold at Bradleys Petrol Station in Llanidloes. The association’s pages do not describe a membership scheme.
