About Upper Rhondda Angling Association
Upper Rhondda Angling Association was formed in 1957 and fishes Llyn Fawr, a 24 acre reservoir near Rhigos at the head of the Rhondda that the club calls a prime piece of water, and the Rhondda Fawr from the Stag Bridge at Treorchy up through Blaencwm and Blaenrhondda. Some of the club’s members run its fish farm, which produces the fish for the lake. The club welcomes new members and sells group tickets for visiting clubs.
The club’s tickets page lists a senior season ticket at £120, over 65s at £100 and juniors at £32, and day tickets at £15 for seniors and over 65s and £10 for juniors, and the page shows no year. Llyn Fawr is artificial fly only, from 3 March to 15 November, and the club offers both catch and release and catch and kill days. A rod licence is needed. New members apply by letter to the club.
