About Bollin and Birkin Flyfishers
Bollin and Birkin Flyfishers is a trout club in Cheshire, founded on 23 February 1870 as the Bollin Angling Association with the aim of preserving trout in the River Bollin. It now controls about 20.8 kilometres of water. The main stream is the meandering Birkin Brook, a tributary of the River Bollin, and the club also fishes Mobberley Brook, about 9.6 kilometres of the River Bollin and a stretch of the Peover Eye near Peover Hall.
Fees are £40 for the 2026 season with no joining fee, and a membership covers all the club’s waters. The secretary keeps a list of people waiting to join, and names go from it to the committee whenever a vacancy occurs. Members can take a guest on a guest ticket, up to two a season. Email the club to ask to be added to the list. Coarse fishing is also permitted on the River Bollin.
